Character Generation — Directional Characters from Text or an Image

The "Character generation" tool creates game-ready characters in multiple directions. Start from text if you don't have a character illustration yet — or upload one you have, and generate direction views that keep its design.

Choose a source — text or your character

With "Describe in text", write out appearance, outfit, colors, and vibe. The same description drives every direction, so the more specific it is, the more consistent the set. With "Upload my character", a full-body image (PNG/JPG/WebP, up to 10MB) drives the direction views while keeping your design; use the extra notes for constraints like "keep the sword in the right hand".

Directions and style

Pick 4 directions (up/down/left/right) or 8 (with diagonals). For top-down or isometric games, 8 directions make movement look much smoother. Beyond keeping the original style, ten art styles are available — cozy RPG, anime chibi, 16-bit pixel, cartoon, watercolor, and more. Matching the style of your environment assets is what makes a game feel coherent.

Quality, resolution, and transparency

Set quality (low/medium/high) and resolution, and turn on "Transparent background" to get game-ready PNGs with the background removed in your browser right after generation. One generation produces the full set for your chosen direction count, and credits are charged per generation.

After generating

Download the directional set as-is, or take a view into the "Animation sprite sheet" tool to add walk and attack animations. Directional images plus directional animations are the complete kit for a top-down game character.
